Ladies if you need that chocolate fix at that time of the month these are to die for. If you're depressed because it's raining snowing men suck and the world isn't revolving around you like it's supposed to...These brownies will lift you up!

2C granulated sugar
1T Vanilla
4 eggs
1.5C flour
1C special dark Cocoa
1tsp. salt
1C mini choc. chips

Grease a 9x13 pan, preheat oven to 350degrees.
In one bowl mixthe butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs
In a seperate bowl mix the flour cocoa salt and chips
Gradually add the dry indredients to the wet.
Should be a nice smooth thick batter.
Pour into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
let them cool and slice into small squares. about 32 brownies

They don't last long because there is always a little hand reaching for them!

Baby goats--- busy little kids

The kids are so much fun. I think it's just as much fun bottle feeding these kids as it is milking the goat.
I milked Molly last night and we had to make a few adjustments to our set up. Like move the milkstand out of site of the other goat. Nyra, the brown goat kept bothering Molly and then Molly wanted to get into the hay that Nyra had... It's just like dealing with children!
Last night with all the distractions we got 2c. of milk. I was excited, Hubby was disappointed. I just figured we are new at this and it will just get better. And it did!
As we are milking Molly for our own use we had to get the kids to take a bottle. No easy feat! It was kinda like wrestling a cat. They squirmed and slipped out of grip, fussed and bawled. But by the 2am feeding they had gotten it. Or so hungry they didn't care. The 6am feeding went much better and I believe the noon feeding will be better yet. The kids are super friendly and running and prancing and leaping around.

I think I'm in love with goats almost as much as I adore my chickens!

New Kids on the Block!-- Caution Graphic photos

My Molly, the black goat, had her kids yesterday at 3:15 in the afternoon. It was an easy and perfect birth. She had two beautiful white kids, a buck and a doe. They have been nursing well and are skipping and jumping already!

Today we will be seperating them from Mom because we need to get them on the bottle as we will be milking the mom for our own use. Sounds terrible, but that's how it works.

Hubby built a milk stand and we will be trying that out tonight. I had trouble milking yesterday so He is going to teach me how to do it correctly.
I am so excited.
All the kiddos of mine, got to watch the birth of the new babies. I think it was a great experience. I'll find out later what my little one told his kindergarten teacher!

As I'm not all that computer savy... The pictures are pretty much in the wrong order. if you scroll from bottom to top that's how it went!
